Joni Eareckson Tada –
The chief secretary, Colonel Dennis L. Phillips, has announced the Great Victory Congress will include a number of special guests, including the well-known Christian speaker, Joni Eareckson Tada.
“Joni has kindly agreed to serve as the keynote speaker for Victory Univer-sity on Friday morning. This will begin our weekend on just the right note, and we are thrilled to have her.”
The founder and president of JAF Ministries, an organization accelerating Christian ministry in the disability community, Joni is recognized around the world as a powerful witness to the power of Christ. After a diving accident in 1967 left her a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, Joni achieved international prominence through her autobiography, Joni, and she has since gone on to write more than 21 best-selling books on a wide variety of topics.
Her most recent book, Tell Me the Promises, is written for families. Joni conducts a radio ministry heard over 700 broadcast outlets worldwide, writes a column for Moody Monthly magazine, and recently appeared with the Billy Graham Crusade. She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, and her message of spiritual victory will set the tone for the entire Great Victory Congress.
Followed by the Keynote Session, delegates at Victory University will be able to choose from a selection of exciting workshops, including sessions led by Major Anne Pick-up, Commissioner Will Pratt (R), and another prominent Christian author and lecturer, Dr. Raymond C. Ort-lund. Dr. Ortlund and his wife Anne will lead a session on Victory in Relationships. Of course, child care will be available to all pre-registered delegates.
Later in the day, Joni Eareckson Tada will give her personal testimony at the Great Victory Rally. Expected attendance at that gathering is more than 7,000.
Don’t miss Victory University!
