The Real Gift of Christmas production has been a Tustin Ranch Corps (Calif.) tradition for many years. The 2008 production—themed Good News!—included a new performing group, The Tustin Ranch Pioneer School of Music String Ensemble. Director of the school, David Dunford and instrumental teacher, cellist Sarah Koo, brought together a 14-member string ensemble, comprised of junior and high school students from the school of music and from the Tustin and Irvine communities.
