The Western Territory Women’s Ministries Department is pleased to announce the release of “Tanzania.”

This gripping video presentation introduces the partnership of The Salvation Army with the Kwetu Counseling Center in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, as the Women’s Ministries Project for 2001.

Movingly narrated by Colonel Keitha Needham, territorial secretary, women’s organizations, and Sue Schumann Warner, New Frontier managing editor (who also shot most of the footage), and produced by Richard Brown of Animal Productions, this video brings the AIDS pandemic and the socio-economic realities that the Kwetu Counseling Center faces each day into our hearts and minds.

Funds raised through this project will enable the center to hire and train more counselors to help women and girls in this East African nation gain education and learn skills to support themselves. Without education and skills-training, prostitution is the only means of survival for many.

Each division in the Western Territory has several copies of this excellent video for use in raising much-needed funds.
