tab kidsChildren in the Tabernacle Children’s Chorus (T.C.C.), at the Pasadena Tabernacle Corps, are preparing for their television debut on Christmas Eve. Busy rehearsing since September, they recently received word they were selected to sing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion as part of the Holiday 2000 celebration concert on December 24.

Music and singing has brought T.C.C.’s 40 members together in a special way. “It is wonderful to see the relationships forming between children and their families, some from the corps and some from the community,” said Director Barbara Allen. “It’s the perfect arena for relational evangelism.”

Founded in 1998 by Allen and accompanied by her husband, Steve (director of Social Services for the Southern California Division), T.C.C. is a community choir program designed to offer affordable vocal tuition to children in the Pasadena area, as well as act as an outreach for the Tab.

Its members range in age from 4-11 years. They have already performed at Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm and look forward to a busy season ahead.

Holiday 2000 will be broadcast live on KCET at 3:30 p.m., December 24.
