MAJORS PAUL AND CAROL Seiler (l) are installed as divisional leaders in the Cascade Division by Commissioners David and Doreen Edwards.

BY MAJOR BARBARA BLIX –

A “standing-room only” congregation crowded the sanctuary of the Portland Tabernacle Corps recently for the installation of Majors Paul and Carol Seiler as new divisional leaders for the Cascade Division. Soldiers and friends from both inside and outside the division participated in the event.

A highlight of the evening was special words of encouragement from Major Irene Seiler (R) of Seal Beach, CA, the mother of Major Paul Seiler. She quoted from retired Eastern Territorial Evangelist Brigadier Clifton Shiply’s newsletter, in which he said “God has directed my steps and my stops” and reminded her son and daughter-in-law to ever seek the Lord for guidance during their “stop” in the Cascade Division.

Following her remarks, a moving ceremony of installation was conducted by Commissioners David and Doreen Edwards, Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Organizations, respectively, culminating in a sacred moment of dedication at the Holiness table.

A reception was held following the service offering an opportunity for all present to personally greet the new leaders.
