The San Pedro Corps recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the new home of the San Pedro Community Corps.

The $2.7 million, 14,000+ square foot building will open next year and will house the San Pedro Corps, San Pedro Temple Corps, Sage House Adult Day Care and Social Services.

The San Pedro Corps serves tens of thousands of residents in the Harbor area each year through church services, food distribution, clothing assistance, motel vouchers, utility assistance, adult day care and youth services.

“We will now be able to expand our programs and services and reach more people,” said Captain Raymond R. Erickson-King, corps officer.
