Promoted to Glory

Betty (Hodge) Stainback, 78, was promoted to Glory on January 23, 2003 near her home in Ft. Laramie, Wyoming.

Betty was born on September 25, 1924 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. She married Fred Hodge and the soldiers pursued their calling to become Salvation Army officers. The couple’s last appointment was Reno, Nevada, where Fred passed away and Betty ended her Army career after 32 years.

Betty is survived by two sons, five granddaughters and 12 great-grandchildren.
