During the Northwest Divisional Family Camp, Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers, territorial leaders, installed Lt. Colonels Doug and Diane O’Brien as the new leaders of the Northwest Division. Swyers commended the O’Briens’ leadership to the attendees, saying that they were the right leaders for this time.

Following the theme “Come Join Our Army,” Lt. Colonel Doug O’Brien spoke about The Salvation Army’s historic importance, contrasting it with the Volunteer Forces of 19th century England. He urged the Northwest Division soldiers to be the best Salvationists they can be, not simply volunteers.

Family Camp was held from August 22-24 at Camp Arnold.
