Every corps throughout the Western Territory will soon receive new kettle signs from TradeWest.Along with 10 new signs, corps will also receive peel and stick decals, including “Text To Give” and a QR (quick response) Code, which can be placed on the sign at the corps’ discretion.
Territorial Direct Marketing Director Dona Romine developed customized QR Code decals for each individual corps to include on its kettle signs. These high-capacity barcodes can be scanned by a smartphone and will send users to an interface where they can make a mobile donation (similar to a text donation), giving donors another quick and easy option for a red kettle gift. The digital code within each QR decal will be customized so that the donation will automatically be designated to that particular corps.
