SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING:
I believe that God has been calling me to be a Salvation Army officer for the past 15 years. The importance I find in being commissioned is that I am being obedient to the Lord and in the way he wants me to live. This also means that I am placing all my trust in him, removing my own desires for my life and placing them in the Lord’s hands.

SIGNIFICANCE OF
COMMISSIONING:
When I entered Crestmont, I knew this was what God was asking me to do. Now that commissioning is here, I feel blessed. His guidance and direction over the last two years is overwhelming. I have grown spiritually, been stretched and learned a lot. To know my husband and children are by my side on that day—all of us to enter ministry together—is a blessing.

I never thought I would be able to attend the training college because of my limited English skills. God helped me to overcome the language barrier that I thought was impossible, and now I will serve the Lord in two languages.

For me commissioning is like a wedding day where I will receive a special blessing to carry on God’s work. I don’t know what lies ahead, but I want to respond faithfully to the calling he has put on my heart.
