On April 11, 2010, the newest members of The Salvation Army Cub Scout Pack 204 were enrolled at the Oakland Chinatown Corps: Shan Ming Gao, Tristan Lau, Steven Tang, Kenny Zhang, Nathan Zy (Webelos status). This cooperative effort between Troop 201 and Pack 204 has increased the Army’s involvement in the community and within the Scouting movement.

The Granats are currently appointed at the Alameda County Coordination Office, with offices in the Chinatown building. They have been involved with Salvation Army scouting programs in New York, San Francisco and Germany prior to being stationed in Oakland, and see this involvement as a viable ministry to boys and families.
