Culinary class helps the homeless in Las Vegas.

The Salvation Army in Las Vegas, Nev., offers a culinary program to help homeless people learn the trade or enhance their skills. The motivated students operate the Campus Corner Cafe. Hungry, homeless persons are the Cafe’s target customers, but they encourage everyone to give them a try. Recent graduates of the culinary progamn shown here are Melvin Glass, Dan Thornton and Harry “Jim” Gafford.
