Bringing “Doing the Most Good” to the West

A campaign of this magnitude requires careful thought and planning. Here are some highlights of how “Doing the Most Good” (DTMG) is being presented in divisions across the West.
• Alaska Division: The public DTMG campaign will be launched with a November luncheon. DTMG will be presented as part of officers’ councils in October.
• Cascade Division: The Portland Metro Advisory Board is enthusiastic about DTMG. Outdoor
advertising is planned and an area theater chain has donated pre-show theater slides.
• Del Oro Division: DTMG impressed all in attendance as the theme for the annual luncheon.
• Golden State Division: One corps officer has already requested a DTMG banner in Chinese for an October parade. The division is incorporating DTMG into letterhead, business cards and other printed materials.
• Intermountain Division: Incorporating DTMG into all of its publications and print materials, the division will incorporate DTMG into the Denver Metro area Christmas campaign.
• Northwest Division: A remarkable bit of good timing occurred as the ARC in the division was already planning to repaint their trucks; now DTMG will be incorporated in the new paint scheme.
• Sierra Del Mar: DTMG was the theme for the annual San Diego Metro Advisory Board retreat in August and will be the theme for a donor appreciation luncheon in October.
• Southern California Division: DTMG wristbands were distributed at the recent Youth Camp 5K run. The divisional annual report will include excerpts from the DTMG manifesto.
• Southwest Division: DTMG is now a part of all public service announcements, news releases, business cards and stationery. The Salvation Army Las Vegas is incorporating DTMG into newspaper ads and local radio programs.
• ARC Command: DTMG will soon be incorporated into the ARC’s advertising.
• College for Officer Training: The College plans to introduce DTMG at the Welcome of Cadets in September and use it throughout the general training curriculum.
