Luttrells retirement celebration set for Vancouver, B.C.

Commissioners Bill and Gwen Luttrell


General John Larsson and Commissioner Freda Larsson will present retirement certificates to Commissioners Bill and Gwen Luttrell during the Canadian Pacific Northwest Congress and Commissioning in Vancouver, B.C on June 21, 2003.

The Luttrells will officially complete their active officership on this date.

Bill entered training from the Greeley, Colorado Corps and was commissioned with the Courageous Session of Cadets in 1958.

Gwen was a member of The Soldiers of Christ Session having entered training from the Long Beach Citadel Corps and was commissioned in 1962.

The Luttrells were married in June of 1962 and served as Western Territory officers in corps, social services, the training college, divisional headquarters and as Secretary for Personnel/Territorial Home League and Women’s Outreach Ministries Secretary and Chief Secretary/Territorial Secretary for Women’s Organizations.

Further appointments took them to International Headquarters in London, England where they served as the International Secretary of the Americas and the Caribbean and Zonal Secretary of Women’s Organizations respectively.

On March 1, 2000 they assumed leadership of the Canada and Bermuda Territory as the Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Organizations from which they will now retire.

Laura Luttrell-Boyer, with her husband John and children Lauren and Luke of Honolulu, Hawaii; Sharon Schulz with her husband Fred and their children Emily and Ryan along with other family members, comrade officers and friends will join together in the retirement celebration.
