Western Territory celebrates new cadets and new territorial leaders.
by Martin Hunt –
Double blessings are in store for soldiers and friends of The Salvation Army’s Western Territory on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, as we welcome the new cadets into training and greet new territorial leaders, Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs.
This year the “Welcome” meeting will take place in Pasadena’s beautiful Ambassador Auditorium and will feature the cadets of the Friends of Christ Session—46 strong—installation of our leaders by Commissioners Todd and Carol Bassett—former U.S. national leaders—and music provided by the Territorial Band.
The meeting begins at 6:00 P.M., and tickets are not required. Childcare is provided for children up to age 12.
Before the meeting starts everyone is welcome to join our territorial leaders for a family BBQ on the grounds of the Ambassador Auditorium. You can enjoy a meal—provided free of charge—while listening to a joint concert by the Territorial Band and the Las Vegas Young People’s Band. Fellowship, great music and good food—what a perfect way to start the celebration of the day. The BBQ and concert are at 4 P.M., and everyone is encouraged to arrive early and enjoy this special afternoon and evening.
