The Western Bible Conference, slated for June 29-July 5, 2008 at beautiful oceanside Asilomar, near Monterey, Calif., promises to be an event that will appeal not just to adults but to the whole family.
The location, with its beach swimming and sand castle opportunities as well as the on-site heated outdoor pool, is sure to be a hit with the younger crowd; in addition, the Territorial Youth Department has begun preparations to make WBC a spiritually meaningful event for them as well.
During the morning and evening general sessions, while adults are being “refreshed” through excellent programs and Bible teaching, the children and youth will be taking the plunge into their own tailor-made programs designed to refresh and nourish their young spirits along the same biblical themes. Nursery through high school-aged delegates will participate in active Bible learning and related games and activities appropriate for their age group. Other plans in the works include a trip to the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium and a Fourth of July family barbecue.
Each day during afternoon free time, organized “family fun” activities will bring together the entire camp to enjoy each other as they play and participate in family groups.
The Western Bible Conference truly is designed to be an event that the whole family will enjoy. Plan on attending!
Don’t forget to bring the kids!
