The Western Territory is about to embark on an exciting new journey toward better preparing all Army personnel to lead, deliver, resource, and administer our mission in the 21st century.

In March, a special steering team will be convened to take a comprehensive look at all our training programs in the territory, and consider everything we do to equip officers, soldiers, adherents, advisory organization members, and other volunteers for leadership and service. Assessments and projections will also be made of training programs that are responsive to the opportunities and needs of the field.

The timing of this process is auspicious for two reasons. First, the opportunities for mission that are emerging call us to equip ourselves better for strategic spiritual warfare.

Second, the move of territorial headquarters to Long Beach this spring will result in a Crestmont campus with far greater facility for educational program development. Already, plans are underway for a significantly improved post-residential training program for lieutenants, eventuating in a bachelors degree. Plans are also being developed for an intensive youth ministry program for young adults. The journey is underway
