Commissioning ‘04
by Martin Hunt –
After touring the USA Western Territory this June—leading seven public meetings and three officer councils meetings—General John Larsson and Commissioner Freda Larsson will conclude their visit by participating in the commissioning of our new captains.
Our international leaders will have met with soldiers, officers, advisory board members and friends of the Army in Portland, San Francisco and Phoenix. They will have sensed the passion and excitement that the USA Western Territory has for service to our communities, and our commitment to worshiping and praising the Lord.
Then they will share with us the dedicatory and celebratory moments, as the cadets who have spent two years preparing for lifelong service are ordained, commissioned and sent out to serve the Lord as our pastors, teachers and leaders.
There will be three public meetings as part of the Commissioning events that give us the opportunity to show our support to the new captains: on Friday June 18, 10:30 a.m., Crestmont College will hold commencement exercises, where cadets will receive their academic awards; on Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene, Pasadena at 2:00 p.m. Commissioning and Ordination services will take place, with the service of appointment at 6:00 p.m.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to support and be blessed, plan on attending the commissioning events!
