Major George Hood, national Community Relations and Development secretary, announced that the Army’s advertising agency, The Richards Group, and its “Doing the Most Good” campaign, were one of three finalists for a Kelly award.

Said Hood, “This award, presented by the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA), is a wonderful tribute to the power and creativity of our message in print to the American public.”

Patrick Wire, of The Richards Group, stated; “Two of the campaign’s ads were selected as finalists in the Public Service category. The featured ads are: When you put money in our kettle, expect change; and We combat natural disasters with acts of God.” Both are integral parts of the Doing the Most Good branding campaign.

Established in 1982, the MPA/Kelly Awards recognize and reward outstanding magazine advertising. Agencies are invited to submit their best magazine advertising campaigns. A panel of judges made up of America’s top creative directors and leading advertising and marketing talent from clients, selects the finalists.
