For the first time ever, to celebrate and commemorate the More Than Gold 2002 Olympic experience, The Salvation Army is pleased to offer a collectible Olympic pin.

The Army, in partnership with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games , commissioned the pin for sale exclusively through The Salvation Army with proceeds to support development of future Olympians through Salvation Army community sports programs.

“When you purchase the pin, not only will you have a keepsake of the Winter 2002 Games, you will also be helping the development of young American athletes,” said Coordinator Dan Williams.

The arts have been celebrated as an integral part of the Olympic Games. The Salvation Army will join this celebration of the human spirit during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Chicago Staff Band, under the direction of B/M William Himes, will perform at key Olympic festival sites February 8-10.

The pin was designed to celebrate the Army’s participation. For more information, visit www.salvationarmymtg.org.
