Amidst the busyness of life, finding a place to rest in the presence of the Lord can be hard. The Western Bible Conference provides such a place—designed to allow us to sit in the majestic beauty of a redwood forest while learning from God’s word. The peaceful location will help calm our minds from the hustle and bustle of regular life. The Bible teaching will be challenging and rejuvenating—the fellowship with one another enjoyable.
The Bible Conference has been carefully designed to leave plenty of time for relaxation and socializing. Each day will start with Bible teaching, led by Dr. Bill Ury, followed by discussion in small groups. Planned recreational activities are available in the afternoons, or you can spend time relaxing with your family and friends. The conference organizers have chartered the Roaring Camp Railroad train, and one afternoon all delegates will have the opportunity to take a scenic train ride into Santa Cruz.
Colonel Clive Adams will preach at the evening meetings, which will provide an inspiring time of worship.
Children will be well taken care of by the Mount Hermon Day Care center and the Territorial Youth Department.
The first Bible Conference held in 2008 was a highlight of the Army calendar. You will want to plan on being a delegate in 2010; it’s important to register soon. Please see your corps officer for registration information. Don’t delay as space is filling up fast.
