Asilomar conference grounds on the Monterey peninsula will host the Western Bible Conference.

Time out! For members of a sports team in the heat of competition, those two words are priceless! As they huddle together on the sidelines, the coach gives a pep talk and gets them focused. He reminds them of their purpose and goal, and then, with a last squirt of refreshing water and a slap on the back, sends them back onto the field and into play.
The pause in play is brief. Thirty seconds, 60 seconds, two minutes at most to catch their breath and double check their strategy, but it can make a world of difference in the outcome of the game.

What is true on the playing field is also true in life. Have you noticed how it cranks along at a frantic pace most of the time? Things to do, places to go, people to see. Priorities can get lost in the haze of busy-ness and good intentions become repeating New Year’s resolutions.
When was the last time YOU called a “time out”?

The Western Bible Conference (WBC) may be just the opportunity you need! Six days of relaxed fellowship in the beautiful coastal setting of the Asilomar conference grounds will help you to catch your breath, and a guided study of and reflection on God’s Word will provide a chance to double check your strategy for life.

The cost for the week is $185 for adults, $125 for children (3-17 years). This includes housing and three meals per day. Translation will be available in Spanish, Korean, Laotian and Portuguese.

Registration is easy! Forms are available from your corps officer or can be downloaded at www.usawest.org/wbc. Once the form is completed, just return it to your corps officer with your deposit ($25 per person). You will receive a confirmation letter and a receipt from Territorial Headquarters. It’s that simple!

Accommodation for delegates will be provided both on-site at Asilomar and in the surrounding neighborhood (within an easy walk). Rooms on the conference grounds will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
