More than 60 men and one woman, (then) Divisional Secretary Captain Allie Niles, gathered on Oahu’s north shore to attend this year’s men’s camp for the Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division.

Major Dave Hudson, Sierra Del Mar divisional secretary, was the special guest and speaker for the event, held at Camp Homelani. The theme, Tools of the Trade, included topics on being Available for Service, Integrity of Mind, Courageous of Spirit, with the Sunday morning service focused on Repentance of Heart.

Niles and the camp staff had 13 projects for the men to get camp ready for the summer youth programs. Working together, they built benches, painted cabins, repaired steps, replaced screens, put up the big tent, and more. Through these physical endeavors, the men found they had a lot in common and enjoyed the opportunity for fellowship. ” This was a memorable experience,” said one attendee, “both spiritually and physically. I look forward to next year and will encourage more men to join in.”
