Promoted to Glory

Mrs. Colonel Eunice Swyers entered through the heavenly gates on February 5, 2005, from Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

She was born February 19, 1913 in London, Ontario, Canada; at an early age she moved to Miami, Florida and later went to training and was commissioned May, 1935. On June 26, 1939 she married Capt. Gordon Swyers. They served in appointments throughout the Southern Territory and retired from active service in 1974. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1998.

Mrs. Swyers is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, her brother, Brig. Arthur Ward, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends throughout the Army.

The funeral service was held on February 11, 2005 at the Atlanta Temple Corps, Atlanta, Georgia.
