Welcome of Cadets is Saturday, September 9, 2006, 6:00 p.m. at the Tustin Ranch Corps.

by Martin Hunt –

God has called 21 soldiers of the Western Territory to be trained for full-time service as officers in The Salvation Army. These individuals will become partners with their Lord, and partners with each one of us in ministry. Called to work for God and with him, 19 of them will enter the God’s Fellow Workers Session (2006-2008) and two will enter the Heralds of the Good News Session (2005-2007). The Army will train them during this time to prepare them for the work he has in store.

The territory has the wonderful opportunity to welcome these new recruits at a public meeting being held at Tustin Ranch Corps on Saturday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Along with welcoming our new cadets, the territory will be privileged to hear and greet our new National Leaders, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither.

While the focus of the Welcome of Cadets will be on the new journey that the cadets will commence, there will also be the opportunity for those in attendance to congratulate and encourage the young people of the territory who have been selected to perform as the Western Territorial Youth Band, who will be providing musical support on this occasion.

If you live too far away from the Southern California area but still want to be part of this occasion then join the online congregation at www.usw.salvationarmy.org.
