National Advisory Organizations Conference and National Community Relations and Development Conferences join forces in 2007.

With the theme “An Army of Champions,” the National Advisory Organizations Conference (NAOC) 2007 will inspire and inform delegates about the mission and vision of The Salvation Army, help potential advisory organization members capture the spirit of the Army, and promote tools for advancing the Army’s work locally.

Jerry Jones, National Advisory Board (NAB) member and owner of the Dallas Cowboys, along with his wife, Gene, are serving as honorary chairpersons for the conference, which will be held in Dallas, Texas, April 26-29, 2007. Jerry Jones is a keynote speaker of the “Building Champions” general session. The Joneses will host the conference’s closing “Victory Celebration” at Texas Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Since the national Community Relations and Development (NCRD) Conference is merging with the NAOC in 2007, Community Relations and Development professionals are encouraged to attend. CRD mini-camps are scheduled for the first day of the conference.

Delegates will see the international scope of the Army. Each US divisional headquarters will sponsor an international delegate from its current Mission Partner command. It is hoped that this will also expose the international delegates to the concepts of advisory board development.

National Headquarters projects as many as 2,500 delegates, and hopes that at least one member from each advisory organization will attend.
