This year, the Pasadena Tabernacle Corps’ mission team is planning to send its fifth group to a Salvation Army facility south of the border. In past years, projects have taken our teams to Jamaica, Panama, and twice to Mexico.

An invitation to make a difference on the mission field.

This year, the Pasadena Tabernacle Corps’ mission team is planning to send its fifth group to a Salvation Army facility south of the border. In past years, projects have taken our teams to Jamaica, Panama, and twice to Mexico.
The team usually spends seven to nine days at each location, fixing all sorts of building problems that the team captain in charge has challenged us to do. We have installed and repaired roofs, put up doors, hung inside ceilings, nailed up large signs, fixed teeter-totters and monkey bars, put up a basketball backboard, painted chapels and houses, built kitchens and tiled floors.
Each trip has generated in us a greater appreciation for the mission field and a more intimate understanding of Jesus’ instruction to “feed my sheep.” On every excursion, we feel the Lord’s hand as he leads us where we’re needed and introduces us to the open, friendly people with whom we will work.
We always leave with tears in our eyes and in the eyes of those waving us good-bye. The blessing lingers long after we return home.
