Territorial Leaders Commissioners Kenneth G. and Jolene K. Hodder traveled to the Southwest Division March 11-13, continuing their “lightning” visits of The Salvation Army’s ministry in the Western Territory.

The Territorial Commander tweeted about the visits along the way:

“Lightning visits in the Southwest Division! Started the day at Casa Grande with Captains Mark and Lisa Davey and their beautiful children. They’re using theater to build up the corps. Very creative!”

“Moved on to the service center in Green Valley, which is ably led by Jose and Esther Corrales, Yuni in the social services office, and an abundance of volunteers. Thank you all for your vision and faithfulness!”

“The day came to a stirring conclusion in Sierra Vista. Just hearing about all that is happening here is exhausting! Thank you, Captains Carlos and Gildete Souza!”

“Day 2 of our Lightning Tour in the Southwest took us to Las Cruces, where Captains Mike and Noel Evans are conducting an amazing ministry, particularly with youth. Encore, here they come!”

“Corps #5 of the tour is in Roswell, New Mexico. Lts. Amber and Joe West and their amazing children are so inspiring. Keep up the amazing work!”

“Day 3 began with a visit to Hobbs, New Mexico. Major Lisa Smith and Lt. Laura Loomis are working together to make the Army even more responsive to the needs of the community. As a result, their corps is growing!”

“You won’t believe all that’s happening in Clovis, New Mexico, these days. Here’s a typical Wednesday lunch, when the Home League and the Men’s Fellowship come together for Bible study. And the corps officers, Lts. Miguel and Maria Ibarra, have their sights on more education for young people!”

“Our last day for this Lightning Tour ended at Albuquerque Temple, where Majors Gloribel and Salvador Gonzalez have set their sights on raising up leaders for the future. Thank you, folks, for your long-term vision! May God bless the Southwest Division!”
