“Design for Life” retreat to focus on the call to a lifetime ministry of officership.

For many years, men and women from around the territory have gathered at Crestmont each February to spend a weekend focusing on seeking God’s direction for their lives. This year, it will be a retro event where the weekend will focus specifically on those who believe God has called them into a lifetime ministry of officership.

The Territorial Future Officers’ Fellowship (FOF) “Design for Life” retreat is planned for February 16–18, 2007. The weekend will allow delegates to experience and plan for life at the Training College. They will attend classes with the cadets and also be able to interact with the cadets and officer staff.

Visiting leaders will be the Territorial Youth and Candidates’ Secretaries, Majors David and Beverly Ivany from the Canadian Territory. Their teaching will help delegates identify their personality types and spiritual gifts for service as officers.

Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers will be the speakers for the Sunday worship service, and they will no doubt provide words of challenge to the delegates as well as moments of levity as they share from their decades of officership experiences.

Delegates are welcome from around the territory. They should be a minimum of at least 18 years of age and have completed high school. Applications can be obtained from either your corps officer or divisional youth secretary and are due to your divisional office by January 19, 2007.
