At least two years experience in a position requiring attention to detail, the building of relationships with constituent publics, events planning, or other related management areas; bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, psychology, communications or other related field; ability to conceptualize a total project and delineate its elements; strong attention to detail, and organizational and planning skills; computer literacy; excellent relational skills; oral and written communication skills; ability to coordinate and work with volunteers; sensitivity to and appreciation for the vision and mission of The Salvation Army.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DIVISION–RESEARCH OFFICER–The Southern California Division of The Salvation Army seeks a creative, detail oriented, entrepreneurial individual to serve as the first prospect Research Officer for Development Department. The qualified candidate will have:

A bachelor’s degree in business, management, social sciences, or other related field; three years experience in a position that emphasizes management of detail and analysis of that detail; knowledge of and facility with various research techniques, including on-line research; ability to manage and mine a computer data base; strong written and oral communication skills; facility with presentations; skill in developing and implementing systems and organizational methods; sensitivity to and appreciation for the vision and mission of The Salvation Army.

EL PASO COUNTY, TX—County Business Admin.: The Salvation Army County Administration in El Paso is seeking a highly qualified supervisory Business Administrator to assist in the management and administration of wide-ranging Army programs within the county. Responsibilities include the oversight of 100+ employees, family services, four residential facilities, as well as three Thrift Stores and a production facility. Duties include management of a budget of nearly $3 million. The successful candidate will have an advanced degree in business or accounting (three years of experience in management of Salvation Army programs with annual budgets in excess of $1 million may be substituted for educational experience) and be fully familiar with S.A. personnel practices and fiscal management process. Special consideration given qualified Salvationist candidates. We are seeking a proven leader who can foster team building and responsible management. Salary D.O.E. Some housing is available.
