Boise program to remain open

The May 7, 2010, issue of New Frontier reported that the Marian Pritchett School (MPS) and The Salvation Armys Booth Family Care Center, Boise, Idaho, might possibly close due to lack of funding from the state.

On May 18, 2010, the Boise School District announced that the Marian Pritchett School at The Salvation Army Booth Memorial Campus would receive funding from the State of Idaho for the 2010-11 school year.

Despite a drastic reduction in public school money, the district devised a plan to keep MPS operating for another year. The strategy includes reducing the teaching staff by one and an ongoing search for cost-cutting ideas.
