Sixty inches of love! That may not seem like much, but to someone in need of a new head of hair, it is a great deal. The Girl Guards (a troop program for older girls) with The Salvation Army in Bend, Oregon, recently donated a combined total of 60 inches of hair to the Locks of Love organization. Some of the girls had donated before.

Giving to others who find themselves in need is a huge component of Christianity, and these young women gave. Hair is an interesting item to donate, but if it encourages a person battling cancer and gives them some of their sparkle back…why not donate?

“I feel bad for the folks without hair when I have so much,” stated Lizzie Taylor, one of the Girl Guards. “It is a way to help.”
