On March 7, become part of the 2008 World Day of Prayer along with people from various races, cultures and traditions who join their voices together in prayer annually on the first Friday in March.

The World Day of Prayer movement was first initiated by women in the late 1800s and is now carried out by people in more than 170 countries and regions around the world.

Discover what The Salvation Army is doing by visiting the international home page, www.salvationarmy.org. Pray over the international work and the Army’s effort in the U.S. Remember to pray for the West’s needs and your local corps’ ministry.

“Salvation Army prayer partners around the word will be praying on World Day of Prayer,” said Lt. Colonel Mervyn Morelock, territorial prayer coordinator for the West. “With ministries in most of the world, Salvationists have a particular interest in peace, justice and care for the disadvantaged.”
