The Helms (Bakery) Foundation recently sent $476 to the Mexico Territory, with the wish that it be used “for a Sunday school along the border with the USA” Those funds were used by the Mexicali Corps to purchase teaching materials for the Sunday school.

“We know this material will be very well-used in our church,” said Captain David Vera Hernández, corps officer. Children who attend the Sunday school expressed their thanks in letters written to the Foundation. “We thank God for your life and your wish to help others,” wrote 13-year-old Johana Espinoza Martinez, who also belongs to the corps’ youth group. “Thank you so much for the donation that you made, for the teaching material to learn more of God’s word.”

Major Evelyn de Repass, Mexico Territory Finance secretary, said, “This support is greatly appreciated and does make a difference.”
