(Below, a number of cadets from the Ambassadors of Grace Session introduce themselves to the West. During the course of the year, all 31 will be presented.)

Cadet Chongman Moon, Korean Territory (Second year cadet)

The Salvation Army called me in my childhood and therefore it is my fateful encounter to God. Since our Army requires all soldiers to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, I joyfully apply for officership.

Cadet Mi-Sook Moon, Korean Territory (Second year cadet)

God said to Moses, “I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” These words gave me a powerful capability, because I am not familiar with life of CFOT in the United States and do not converse with other people. I believe in God with me. Therefore, I am not afraid.

Cadet Adriana Bradley, Escondido Corps, Calif.

While watching a short video shown by Commissioner Edwards at the Western Youth Forum entitled “The Harvest,” I felt the Holy Spirit putting an urgency in my heart to reach and nurture the lost of this world. My desire is to be an Ambassador of Grace, harvesting for God.

Cadet Eric Bradley, Escondido Corps, Calif.

I have felt a strong call towards ministering to families through officership. As a new father I hope to use my family life as a Godly example to bring healing and reconciliation to broken families.

Cadet Sonia Cruz, Santa Ana Temple, Calif.

As a full time student at the University of Santa Cruz, I had two part time jobs. I still wanted to serve the Lord as much as I could. Sometimes I had to choose. I decided that I didn’t want to go through this all my life. I wanted God to be my priority and not give him my leftovers.

Cadet Jessica Doria, Scottsdale, Ariz.

I accepted the Lord as my savior into my heart at the age of 6. Since then, I’ve wanted to serve him. I found the Army through a friend. When I got married, my husband and I felt the calling to go into training. Thank God for The Salvation Army!

Cadet Saul Doria, Scottsdale, Ariz.

I come from a Salvationist family, always active and helping in all the activities of the corps. Through my university and working years I always attended and helped in a corps. I came to L.A. the summer of ’95 and attended the Hollywood Corps, where I met my wife. We were envoys for a year in charge of a corps. Then I felt God had called us to come to training.

Being a soldier and sitting on a bench is not enough for me. We have to spread the Gospel and get out into the world. Being an officer will help me accomplish that great commission. I can’t think of a better place to grow closer to the Lord, can you?
