Booth College awards BA degrees to Crestmont students

The College for Officer Training (CFOT) at Crestmont has signed an Articulation Agreement with William and Catherine Booth College (WCBC) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, enabling Western officers who were enrolled in Crestmont’s Bachelor of Arts in Ministry program, and were nearing completion of their degree, to complete their work and receive their degree from William and Catherine Booth College.

William and Catherine Booth College will award a Bachelor of Arts degree to those accumulating the required number of academic credits, provided that a minimum of 30 credits are completed with WCBC. Twelve credits must be done in residence, which can be completed during two-week “intensives” offered by WCBC every year. The Agreement will allow any officer who receives an A.A. from Crestmont to enroll with more than half the credits necessary to receive a Bachelor’s Degree.

“We are pleased that William and Catherine Booth College has recognized the quality of instruction at the College for Officer Training in the number of credits that they are willing to transfer,” commented Major Donald Hostetler, principal of CFOT. “WCBC is also working closely with the staff of Continuing Education to award credit for the work done by officers who were enrolled in the B.A. program at Crestmont. We seem to have crafted a ‘win/win’ solution, since WCBC has such a wealth of distance learning opportunities.”

WCBC is a four-year college operated by The Salvation Army in Canada, offering a variety of Bachelor’s Degrees. It is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education.
