Nicholas Vujicic of “Life Without Limbs” to speak for Salvation Army

Imagine getting through your busy day without hands or feet. Picture your life without the ability to walk, care for your basic needs, or even embrace those you love. Meet Nicholas Vujicic. Without any medical explanation or warning, Vujicic was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia, without arms and legs.

Vujicic struggled with depression and loneliness for most of his life and questioned his purpose or if he even had one. The victory over his struggles, according to Vujicic, can be credited to his faith in God.

“If God can use a man without arms and legs to be his hands and feet, then he will certainly use any willing heart!”

Vujicic will be speaking on behalf of The Salvation Army at Southwest Church in Indian Wells, Calif., on April 12, and will also be attending a sit-down luncheon to follow at a local country club (El Dorado). Tickets for the keynote are $10 for youth and $20 for adults. The luncheon requires a minimum $250 donation.

Since his first speaking engagement at age 19, Vujicic has traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions, both in packed stadiums and small church congregations.

Today, this dynamic young evangelist has accomplished more than most people achieve in a lifetime. He’s an author, musician and actor, and his hobbies include fishing, painting and swimming. In 2007, Vujicic made the journey from Australia to southern California where he is the president of the international nonprofit ministry, Life Without Limbs.
