Soldiers Promoted to Glory

EMMA ARLENE LANE–was promoted to Glory recently in Roswell, New Mex. Alene was born in Texaco, Tex., and was commissioned in the Shepherds Session of 1954. She served as an officer and a soldier, and was an Army employee for 30 years. At the time of her death she was the assistant Home League secretary of the Roswell Corps. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lane, sons Gerald and Derald, and stepsons Daryl and Kenneth.

EDWARD H. PIERCE–was promoted to Glory recently from Bellingham, Wash. He was commissioned with the Ambassadors Session at the CFOT in 1951 and served as an officer and later an envoy. His last position was as administrative assistant for the Bellingham Corps and he was an active volunteer in Social Services as long as health would allow. He is survived by his wife, Beryl, and five children: Linda, Edward, Lori, Rob and Christon.
