LETTERS FROM LONDON
I enjoy reading New Frontier. I was particularly interested to read Commissioner Will Pratt’s “Letter from London” (May 12, 2001). His tribute to the late General Albert Orsborn was beautiful. As one of the “280 fellow cadets” at the training college in London, I, too, had the privilege of experiencing General Orsborn “live,” as the term would be these days. I cherish his book of poems entitled The Beauty of Jesus, with his personal signature, published in 1947. This morning in our Holiness meeting in the Oslo Temple Corps we again sang one of Orsborn’s wonderful songs.
Thank you, Will, for reminding us of this remarkable man. May we never forget the treasures of our heritage, that which has “gone before” and made the Army what it is today.

REMEMBERING HARRY
Thank you, New Frontier, for the story on the promotion to Glory of Harry Stillwell and for placing his photo on the cover of the May 30 issue.
Harry truly was one of the great men of the Western Territory and will be missed by those who have had the privilege of knowing him. Though there was a large gap in age between us, Harry was a great encouragement to me as a young bandsman in the ’80s and early ’90s in the Hollywood and Pasadena Tabernacle Corps. Whether we were talking about baseball or bands, Harry had a unique gift for making a person feel comfortable and important. He was truly one of a kind.
