Tough guy Donald Trump has “softened up” a bit…by teaming up with All Detergent and The Salvation Army to launch a new product, ‘all’ Cleans & Softens, and raise funds for the Army.

In a recent promotional appearance, Trump washed clothing in the laundry room at NYC’s Trump Tower; the clean clothes were then given to The Salvation Army. He also encouraged people to get involved and show their “softer side” by visiting www.allwashclub.com; for each person who visits the site and clicks the “all Softens Up for Charity” icon, ‘all’ Cleans & Softens will donate $1 to the Army, up to a total of $50,000.

The funds will be split four ways between the U.S. territories, and the promotion will run through September.

“’all’ Cleans & Softens’ generosity will help untold people turn their lives around,” said Major George Hood, national community relations secretary. “In addition to helping thrifty people get clean, soft and much needed clothing, visitors to www.allwashclub.com will help us extend our services in a multitude of social services programs, ranging from shelter for disaster victims to food for the hungry.”

Information on the promotion is also listed on the Army’s national webwsite, www.salvationarmyusa.org.
