Bells appointed to lead New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga

New roles commence in March 2009.

The General has announced that Lt. Colonels Donald and Debora Bell, officers of the USA Western Territory currently serving respectively as chief secretary and territorial secretary for women’s ministries in the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory, are appointed as territorial leaders of that territory, in succession to Commissioners Garth and Merilyn McKenzie who are retiring from active service. Lt. Colonel Donald Bell is appointed as territorial commander, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory, and Lt. Colonel Debora Bell as territorial president of women’s ministries. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with promotion to the rank of commissioner—Lt. Colonel Debora Bell on March 1, 2009 and Lt. Colonel Donald Bell on March 2, 2009.

Prior to their current appointments in New Zealand, the Bells served at Western territorial headquarters for six years as chief secretary (Don) and territorial secretary for women’s ministries (Debi).
