Call 1-800-95-TRUCK

‘UPDATE’–Lt. Colonel Daniel Starrett checks out the ARC truck’s new look.

by Dawn Marks –

Adult Rehabilitation Centers throughout the West have 17 new trucks with an updated graphic image designed to increase public awareness for the Army’s donation pickup service and to modernize the look of the trucks.

The 17 are the first of 75 trucks that the territory has commissioned as a test project for the new image. ARC Commander Lt. Colonel Daniel Starrett said that the idea for a new truck graphic developed after a national survey in eight cities indicated a need in this area.

The new, eye-catching graphic wraps entirely around the truck. The text on one side of the truck reads “Shop.” The other side reads “Give.” The rear door panel reads “Call.” The truck also advertises the ARCC Western Territory’s centralized donation pickup number, 1 800 95 TRUCK, and the slogan, “America’s Favorite Thrift Store.”

“We are confident that this new truck design with an updated, eye-appealing image will once again show that The Salvation Army leads the way in this industry,” said Starrett. Watch for it in your neighborhood!
