In all, seven people were nominated by the High Council for the position of General. Of these seven, five accepted the nomination and two declined. Those that accepted were Commissioner Shaw Clifton, Commissioner Israel L. Gaither, Commissioner Hasse Kjellgren, Commissioner Carl Lydholm and Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan. Commissioner Linda Bond and Commissioner Phillip Needham declined the nomination.
