Many companies line up to support Army’s Christmas work

 

At least 20 national store or restaurant chains have agreed to help The Salvation Army this Christmas by agreeing to host kettle stands, angel tree locations, making donations or enabling customers to donate. A few of the more prominent supporters include:

Wal Mart/SAM’s Club
In addition to allowing kettles again for a full 28 day season, Wal Mart/SAM’s Club is donating $1.25 million to the campaign this year. $1 million of this will be donated to NHQ at an event on November 28th in Bentonville, Ark. and the additional $250,000 will be donated through Wal-Mart’s online Red Kettle.

Clark’s Christmas Kids
The popular radio consumer advocate Clark Howard is expanding his Christmas toy drive into a national campaign with daily commercials and strong emphasis during his radio show. Donors should go to www.clarkhoward.com where they can make a “Clark’s Christmas Kids” donation.

Denny’s Angel Tree
Denny’s is the first restaurant chain to partner with The Salvation Army. From November 20 – December 11, participating Denny’s restaurants will display Angel Trees for customers and employees who want to participate.

Toyota Toys 4 Tots
In any area where Toyota is running a Toys For Tots program and there is no military presence, collected toys will be donated to The Salvation Army.
