Tab Songsters Sing At Crystal Cathedral

The world-renowned Crystal Cathedral echoed the praise and promise of a Salvation Army choir as the Pasadena Tabernacle Songsters recently joined in worship with Dr. Robert Schuller for his Hour of Power.

Singing “Standing on the Promises,” featuring soloist Barbara Allen, the 65-member Tab Songsters were accompanied by the Hour of Power Orchestra, and were followed by the preaching of Dr. Schuller. The King Singers from Great Britain were also featured during the service.

“We were thrilled to take part in this magnificent ministry and to have the opportunity to remind people of God’s promises in His Word, as well as to have the opportunity to represent our denomination before a worldwide television ministry,” Songster Leader William B. Flinn said.

The Hour of Power service featuring the Pasadena Tabernacle Songsters was broadcast on the North American continent on Trinity Broadcasting Network on May 4 and on local independent stations on May 5. The international broadcast is later in May. The total audience Hour of Power reaches is 100 million.

After going through an audition process, the Songsters received a special invitation to serve as the replacement choir for the Crystal Cathedral Choir on that Sunday.
