Western officers, soldiers, and friends look forward to the return of former Western Territory leaders General Paul A. Rader (R) and Commissioner Kay F. Rader (R), who will be present throughout Commissioning weekend, June 9-11.

The Raders served in the West from 1989 to 1994, when he was elected General.

General Rader will be the speaker at Commencement services on Friday, June 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Crestmont campus; he will also be the speaker at the commissioning and ordination of new lieutenants on Sunday, June 11, at 9:30 a.m. at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

General Rader and Commissioner Rader will both participate during the service of appointment on Sunday, June 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

On Saturday, June 10, at 10 a.m. they will join Commissioners David and Doreen Edwards in ribbon cutting ceremonies for the new territorial headquarters at 180 E. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach.

In addition, they will be guest speakers during the Territorial Executive Conference prior to Commissioning weekend. Commissioner Kay Rader is slated to address cadets and parents during the Parents’ Banquet on Friday, June 9 at Crestmont.
