Now in its second year, Encore!—The Salvation Army Western Territory’s annual youth music and arts competition—will take place at the 2013 Commissioning.
Although labeled a “competition,” the goal of Encore! is to inspire youth to contribute regularly at their own corps throughout the year.
Participant numbers are up this year as divisions are holding events leading to the final performance. One division doubled its registration.
Encore! expects to see performances from many participants of the new singing companies, junior bands, dance and drama troupes and timbrel brigades that formed in the past year.
Plan now to attend Encore! June 15, 9 a.m., at the Convention Center in Pasadena to support the Western Territory’s young musicians and artists. The awards ceremony will occur alongside the Bible Bowl finals in the afternoon.
