On a few occasions over the past two years I have heard our session referred to as simply messengers of truth–but we are, in fact, Messengers of THE Truth. and you may be wondering why I am concerned about that small three-letter word “the.” I believe the word “the” in our session name is indispensable. It makes a big difference in its meaning.

Society today has a very distorted view of what is right and what is wrong, and one of the biggest problems facing us is relativism, which holds the view that there are no standards, that there are no absolutes regarding truth and morality. What is truth for you may not be truth for me.

As Messengers of the Truth, however, we are God’s messengers to proclaim there is a higher Truth, a Truth which is absolute; there are standards by which we should live by; these standards are not only for a few people but for everyone; and that this Truth is found only in the person of Jesus Christ.
