In our January 14 issue, New Frontier reported the death of Lt. Jeanette Hamel as a home accident attributable to fall. This was the extent of the information available to the paper at press time.

It is now known to The Salvation Army that police in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, are investigating the death of our beloved comrade, Lt. Jeanette Hamel. The Salvation Army has been and will continue to cooperate with all those involved in this investigative process.

Territorial Commander David Edwards has asked for prayer on behalf of all involved in this matter and that we extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Lt. Jeanette Hamel.
