The Del Oro Division held its first junior soldier prep rally recently, attended by 65 youth representing 13 corps.

Led by Captains Rob and Stacy Birks, divisional youth leaders, and Sonja Stires, divisional youth program specialist, the rally’s theme, “Totally His,” carried over into six sessions: Totally Forgiven, Totally Obedient, Totally Clean, Totally Devoted, Totally Focused, and Totally Convinced.

“The first divisional junior soldier prep rally was held in November, 2000, at the Auburn Corps” said Birks. “A brigade of cadets from CFOT led that event, where 12 prospective junior soldiers–all from the Stockton Corps–were prepared for enrollment. They were enrolled a month later.”
